Suno Lyrics Generator

Turn a theme into structured song lyrics with [Verse] and [Chorus] tags: a solid, editable draft for Suno, Udio or any AI lyrics workflow.

Honest note: this builds a structured template with starting lines to edit, not finished AI lyrics. The song gets good when you rewrite the lines in your own words.

How it works

  1. 1

    Describe the song

Type what the song is about, then pick a mood, a genre and a song structure. The storyteller preset suits folk and country; hook-first suits hip hop.

  2. 2

    Generate and edit

You get tagged sections with starting lines built around your theme, plus a writing hint per section. Rewrite the lines in the box until they sound like you.

  3. 3

    Paste into Suno

Delete the (hint) lines, copy everything and paste it into Suno’s lyrics box in custom mode. The [Section] tags stay in.

Why [Chorus] markers matter in Suno

Suno reads square-bracket tags like [Verse 1], [Chorus] and [Bridge] as structure directions. Without them, the model guesses where your sections begin and end; verses wander, the hook lands in odd places, and the chorus may never come back. Tags fix that. A [Chorus] marker combined with identical chorus text tells Suno “this is the part that repeats,” and it will usually return with the same melody. [Bridge] signals contrast, and [Outro] keeps the song from cutting off mid-phrase.

The tags themselves are never sung. Parentheses behave differently: Suno often performs (parenthetical) text as ad-libs or backing vocals, which can be a feature when you want a “(yeah)” behind the hook, and a bug when you forget a hint line in the draft.

What this generator actually does

There is no language model behind this page. It combines your theme with curated line patterns and mood-specific imagery to build a scaffold: real structure, real starting lines, hints on what each section needs to do. That solves the blank-page problem, which is most of the battle, but the draft is deliberately unfinished. Swap the images for details from your own life, tighten the rhythm of each line, and the lyrics stop sounding like a template.

Common tags Suno understands: [Intro], [Verse], [Pre-Chorus], [Chorus], [Post-Chorus], [Bridge], [Hook], [Break], [Drop], [Instrumental], [Outro] and [End]. Once your lyrics are ready, the other half of a good Suno generation is the style box; build that with our Suno prompt generator, or read the full Suno prompt guide for how the two inputs work together.

FAQ

Is this AI lyrics generator free?

Yes, completely free with no account and no limits. To be precise, it is a template generator, not an AI: it assembles structure tags and starting lines from curated pattern banks, and you finish the writing.

Does my theme get uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs as JavaScript in your browser. Your theme and the generated lyrics never touch a server, and there is no AI API behind the tool.

Will Suno sing the [Verse] and [Chorus] tags?

No. Suno treats square-bracket tags as structure directions, not lyrics. Parentheses are different: text in (parentheses) often gets sung as a backing vocal, which is why you should delete the hint lines before generating.

Why isn't my chorus repeating in Suno?

Two usual causes: the chorus text differs slightly between sections, or some choruses are missing the [Chorus] tag. Tag every chorus and keep the words identical, and Suno will usually bring the same melody back.

Can I use the lyrics commercially?

The template lines are yours to edit and use freely. Rights to the finished recording depend on the AI platform that generates the audio, so check the terms of your Suno or Udio plan for commercial use.

Does this work with Udio and other AI music generators?

Yes. Udio and most text-to-music tools understand the same bracketed structure tags, so the template pastes straight in.
